Vegan Mahanakhon is a Thai restaurant in Bangkok (Old Town (Rattanakosin)), $$; open Mon–Sun 10:30–21:00.
A fully plant-based take on Thai cuisine served in a restored 120-year-old teak house in Thonburi. Vegan Mahanakhon serves traditional Thai dishes made entirely without animal products, in a carefully preserved Thai residence more than 120 years old. The house was once home to Khun Khaimook Chuto, Thailand's first female sculptor, and its teak rooms suit lunches, dinners and private events. The restaurant sits in the Rattanakosin area, a short journey from Wat Arun and across the river from the Grand Palace.
